Before the Bed Bug Treatment

• Don't move any of your belongings, don't move them to another room. This will reduce the chances of infesting another area of your home.
• Wash all sheets, pillowcases,  and comforters in hot water and dry. Items can be placed in a trash bag for temporary storage and keep them safe from reintroducing bed bugs.
• Wash all your clothing in hot water. Clothes that cannot be laundered at home can be taken to a professional dry cleaner. Do Not place your clothing in a room that has bed bugs until the room has been treated.

• Place curtains, stuff animals, towles in your dryer and set at the highest temp, let heat cycle run for 30 minutes.
• Inspect items that cannot be washed like electronics, books, toys, and pictures. These items can be stored in a plastic bin. 
• Wash and vacuum all floors, couches, and beds. Dispose of the contents in the vacuum container in the outside trash bin. 
• A cluttered home makes your bed bug treatment difficult. Go through your items and throw away items that are no longer needed. Store items you want in a plastic bin.
• Provide easier access to hard to reach areas like closest, walls, and areas around furniture. 

Where Do Bed Bugs Hide

​Bed bugs can hide in many different places in your home and can fit into cracks the width of a credit card. Some of the places you can find these pests include:

• In cracks on your headboard and bed frame
• Near the piping, seams and tags of your mattress and box spring
• In between the cushions or seams of your chairs and couches
• In the folds of your curtains
• In between your drawers
• In electrical outlets and appliances
• Where the wall and ceiling join
